The Master-slave Handbook
Training: Focus Areas
The 3 Areas of Focus during pre-ownership or pre-birth training:
Each of these areas of training is as important as its counterparts. Each is connected to the other at the core of slavery. Each needs to be explored comprehensively until a Master has complete control over each area. This is a slow, long-term process.
1. Mind: The beginning stages of training, while they may incorporate techniques such as position and service training, focus more on the psychological aspects of slavery. Thorough understanding and honesty create an atmosphere of trust and loyalty. An open mind is important, as is the need for effective communication and disclosure methods. Hypnosis will be used extensively to induce a better slave attitude, as well as to set in place hypnotic triggers for more powerful control. A slave will be given opportunities to eliminate his ego to focus solely and securely on his Master’s power, control, and authority through deep devotional worship, ritual, loyal service, and obedience.
2. Body: Psychological training also helps to determine physical needs, and body training creates a constant awareness of being owned property. Movements, physical needs, and posture are monitored and refined.
3. Spirit: Used here, the spirit of the slave encompasses the intensity of his desire to serve and please, his drive to immerse himself in his role, his feelings of adoration, and even worship, for his Master and his degree of self-worth. The spirit of the slave often develops naturally, and training in this area includes learning to come to terms with and celebrate the ideals of slavery.
A slave will be trained to behave in the required manner, to connect with his innate, inner slave identity, and to develop his slave potential.
Aspects of the principles of service will be introduced and gradually incorporated into the slave’s routine behaviour during phases one and two. These principles are developed and refined through the process of training and disclosure, until a final version is established by the beginning of phase three training, as the time approaches for slave to be born.
When accepting their Master's collar and beginning of training, slave does so with the knowledge that his lifestyle will be inexorably changed, and that his outlook will have to change to accommodate it. A slave begins in training and remains in training – it is a process that has no end. He will continue to understand how to put his Master’s needs and desires ahead of his own at all times. He continues to learn appreciation for service and worship of his Master. He continues to learn how to accept the answers they are given and how to be accountable for his own behaviour. He continues to appreciate the need for firm and consistent discipline. He continues to discover the true meaning of unquestioning obedience and unfailing loyalty.
A Master has assumed a great responsibility for his slave, and he must be responded to in kind.
After birth, these areas would continue to feature prominently too, though by that time, a slave’s mind, body, and spirit would have been moulded to his Master’s liking, and it would be a matter more of maintenance and balance.
Also, during this pre-ownership and pre-birth training period, a slave has specific duties he needs to attend to:
1. Self-awareness & personal growth
A slave's first duty is to his personal growth. Without a healthy amount of self-respect and a firm belief in the validity of his choices, a slave can be of no use to anyone, particularly his Master. Slave training will involve a subduing and even elimination of the ego, but a slave needs to remember that slavery is not about low self-esteem or self-deprecation. It’s not about avoiding life’s responsibilities at another’s expense. It’s not about being or becoming a less intelligent, engaging, and inclusive person; rather, it is about putting those qualities to their best use.
A slave must do his best to preserve and expand his emotional health, maintain a sense of clarity and purpose, and uphold his willingness to carry on, despite roadblocks or mistakes, under his Master’s careful and comprehensive guidance and control.
A slave must also be aware of his strengths and talents, and must gladly offer them to his Master for his own purposes. From the most exhilarating sexual experience to the most mundane task, whatever a slave does should be geared toward the growth of the relationship and the slave’s personal growth within it. A slave must always be willing to learn and expand his horizons for the betterment of the relationship. Slave training is not designed to create the perfect Master, but instead to create the ideal slave. This thought should remain foremost in the slave’s mind.
2. Service
Becoming a good slave is a challenging aspiration and one that requires discipline, practice, and perseverance. Everything a slave does in the context of the relationship is meant to be of service. Whether the Master’s mood is lenient or strict, demanding or relaxed, a Master expects his slave to serve him in any number of ways, and at his convenience. It is a slave's duty to be aware of his Master’s comfort, familiarise himself with his needs, his routines, his habits and his passions, and learn and respond to training as to how best to accommodate them. Those needs that aren’t anticipated should be carried out at the instant of command.
Service should not draw attention to itself. It is meant to be unobtrusive, yet always available. A slave's actions should never demand thanks or acknowledgement, nor should a slave lead his Master to believe they are expected. A slave has all the reward he can ever want by being granted the honour of serving his Master, knowing he will be looked after and cherished.
3. Obedience
Unhesitating obedience is Master’s due. A slave is obliged to approach his Master if obedience creates a question or concern, but only with the proper attitude and only at the appropriate time. Obeying the rules set forth for a slave proves to his Master that the slave trusts him and is willing to live by his codes and values. It teaches a slave what is expected of them and leaves no room for ambiguous notions of blame.
Obedience demonstrates to a Master that his slave is trustworthy and can be depended upon. Both good and bad times influence how the principles of service are shaped, and it is unequivocal obedience to these principles that is the backbone of a successful Master-slave relationship.
4. Attitude and Respect
The structured nature of a Master-slave relationship demands the acknowledgement of a hierarchy. A slave must address his Master by title when speaking to him or speaking about him, unless the situation would cause embarrassment or when a slave is ‘at ease’. Even at those times, every effort needs to be made to acknowledge the differences between a Master and his slave.
A hierarchy, however, does not necessarily always mean inequality. Both Master and slave will add different, complementary elements and skills to the relationship. A slave is not a doormat or robotic individual stripped of all character and personality. The hierarchy is an organisational structure and not a means for abusive derision.
A Master must always be approached with respect: with a tone of voice that does not indicate anger, frustration, or exasperation. A slave must ask for permission to speak freely, and if it is granted, be certain he can convey his thoughts calmly, logically, and without redundancy. He must remember that the opportunity to use his voice is as easily lost as it is granted, and he must preserve an attitude of graciousness and gratefulness while speaking to his Master.
A slave's demeanour is as important as the words he chooses. The appropriate stance is never determined or defiant, but open and accepting. Unless permitted to do otherwise, a Master should see their slave with downcast eyes, hands behind their back, and with a formal posture.
The preservation of slave space is of utmost importance and can be sustained by subduing uncultivated behaviours. A slave may be playful, spontaneous, or fun-loving, but cannot maintain his focus on servitude if he is agitated, noisy, or raucous. He must learn to demonstrate self-restraint and moderation. A slave will remember he is the visible evidence of his Master’s training.
Nudity in Master's presence is not a sexual act but a symbolic one. Nudity represents the removal of all barriers. It indicates a desire to hide nothing and to keep no secrets. It is a constant reminder of who a slave is and what that means. Nudity emphasises the intimate and intense nature of the Master-slave relationship being created. Nudity in Master’s presence is a privilege that allows the slave to abandon the imposed conditions of the outside world and immerse himself in the world their Master has offered.
Worship of a Master is most important. A slave will be given numerous opportunities to worship his Master and acknowledge the gift of slavery that has been given and is being developed. Rituals become important. A slave maintains a worshipful, respectful demeanour at all times in acknowledgement of their Master’s power, authority, and control, and as thanks for the gift of slavery that has been given to a slave.
5. Acceptance of Discipline
Discipline is an electrifying gift, and with it comes the return of clarity and form, and the ability to reason based solely on the heart, not on social precepts. It leaves a slave with a profound understanding of structure, a reflective wisdom, and a challenge for the future. Discipline produces gratitude. It is up to a slave, with his Master’s guidance, to understand the difference between punishment and discipline, and not to confuse them. It is also up to a slave to accept that discipline is part of his life and can be administered without erotic elements, and as often as is necessary to accomplish a change in unacceptable behaviours.
Eagerness and willingness to serve and obey, though admirably qualities for a slave to display, are not a sufficient reason to withhold discipline. It is inappropriate for slave to ask for punishment. A Master decides what behaviours need correction and how best to correct them. It is appropriate, however, for a slave to ask for his Master’s guidance in hopes of correcting behaviour before it reaches the punishment stage.
Furthermore, a slave must confess all disobedience in accordance with the tenet of absolute honesty. A slave must remember to ask for explanations if he is unclear about something, and must understand that failure to ask will not absolve slave from any consequences.
6. Sexuality
A slave does not determine any aspect of his sexuality. As with other facets of his life, his sexual drive, creativity, and enjoyment are useful only in service to his Master. He must remember that, in his Master's eyes, sexual service is no more or less important than any of the other tasks a slave is assigned. Failure to perform properly or performance that lacks enthusiasm is a sign of disrespect and is as punishable as any other act of disobedience. A slave must remember that sexual release is a reward for good behaviour or a means for his Master’s pleasure, and a slave’s own personal pleasure is not a determining factor in sexual situations with his Master. A slave must always strive to please without regard to his own pleasure.
Again, these areas are not abandoned once a slave is born, but they need particular attention and moulding in the period leading up to a slave’s birth. Afterwards, these areas are then monitored, maintained, and allowed to mature, with connection and balance.
In all things, a slave will remember that they have been allowed the freedom to live the life they want and will express gratitude for the gift their Master has bestowed on them through dedication to their service, adherence to their rules, obedience to their will, and compliance with their desires, as well as devotional worship of them.
During phase two, the pre-birth training, a slave will ideally work in a job with free time, which is compatible with Master David’s. A slave’s work commitments must not be allowed to interfere with the slavery being developed, though it may be necessary for a slave to be allocated some time to devote to these commitments. This issue would be discussed, and a sensible regime would be set in place. What is important is that Master David has control of his slave at all reasonable times and directs his slave’s commitments appropriately. Financial control will be discussed fairly and sensibly, and systems set up to ensure that both people are protected on a day-to-day and long-term financial basis. (Master David is not a money Master.)
Also, during phase two, a slave would be denied many social interactions. Master David does not require a social slave. Master David’s slave will be trained to provide a highly specialised and personal service. The slavery being developed is intense and intimate. Slave will be segregated from society, especially in the early stages of pre-birth training, for that slave to submit more fully and completely to the immense power, control, and authority Master David demands and expects from his personal slave. Once slave has been trained more fully, it would be necessary to reintroduce a slave into more social situations, once he has assumed the mentality, behaviour, and attitude of a slave.
The very nature of strict total power exchange slavery requires an exact and demanding training programme to train a slave to this level of submission and slavery. Both Master and slave should be under no illusions as to how arduous some steps of the training will be.
A Master capable of asserting the required power and authority over a slave to achieve absolute slavery will be a demanding and exacting Master. And a slave under this sort of Master’s control should be aware of the difficulties this journey to deep slavery will involve. It is through perseverance, honesty, trust, loyalty, along with a deep sense of reverence, respect, devotion, and worship that a slave under this sort of control will flourish.
Role-play is not an option for Master David. Master David requires a man who is capable of being and becoming slave. Master David’s slave will be trained as a slave and will remain a slave at all times. A rich diet of hypnosis, direct authority, assertiveness, demands for worship, rituals, service, and, well, demands for anything, as well as degradation, humiliation, and discipline will ensure that Master David’s slave knows who he is, why he is there, and what he has to do. Master David’s slave will be firmly and consistently controlled. Being a total and complete slave is the only option.
Whether or not to become a slave is probably the most important decision a person will ever make, and it will probably be one of the most difficult. If a man decides to become slave, then he must go through the arduous, challenging task of giving up his ego, abandoning being human, and accepting every experience necessary to become that which he is meant to be. A slave cannot decide to become a slave; he can only decide to go through the processes that make him a slave.
A slave is a special creature of the universe. He is marked with a calling to do what humans cannot. He is developed, strengthened, and empowered, given structure, fabric, and timbre that make him immutable, solid in his self-identity and self-esteem. Complete obedience is the price of admission; anything less, and a man remains too weak to be slave. He must also experience everything necessary to know what a slave must know to live as slave, before being born to slavery.
Becoming a slave requires a tremendous amount of effort and time, both for the slave and for his Master. The principles of service formalise the rules, rituals, and behaviours expected of a slave. These will take much effort and time to establish and refine as the nature of the interaction between the Master and his slave evolves and develops. These principles need to be in effect at all times. The principles partially define the reality of slavery. A slave needs to understand what they imply in terms of the control and the reality of not having choices, and needs to reflect honestly on their reaction. The slave journal is a useful tool for providing feedback on how a slave feels he is coping with the training and with the implementation of the principles of service. Honest disclosure is equally important here, too.
The principles of service are in constant evolution, especially in the pre-birth, pre-ownership training. It is during this time that the Master and slave discover which principles are important and need focus, training, and formalising, and which are irrelevant to the relationship. It is up to the slave to inform his Master if he requires guidance, support, clarification, or extra training on any principle, and also to alert his Master to any omissions the slave would prefer to be included and worked on.
Once finalised, at birth, at the beginning of phase three, these principles will not be negotiated, nor ignored. A slave can not become slave without earnestly embracing all of them, exactly as described; in addition to every order he will ever be given. It is because of the nature of slavery that they are important, not because they have arbitrarily been deemed important. If the principles are compromised, as can sometimes happen with long-term slavery, the cost is failure to produce born slavery, a waste of both the Master's and the slave’s time and effort.
The ultimate result of this pre-birth, pre-ownership process is that a slave does become slave: a born and fully owned slave. It isn't an option. It isn't something that either a slave or a Master decides will happen. It happens inevitably and naturally when the time is right, so long as both continue through the sessions which produce slavery, with dedication, trust, honesty, commitment, love, and loyalty.
